The NeoSeal from Neotech is an innovative and comfortable nasal prongs seal designed to provide improved respiratory support. The seal adheres to the nasal prongs and not to the infant’s sensitive skin, a feature that clinicians have praised. A soft bumper protects the patient’s fragile nasal septum. The NeoSeal is available in three different sizes — micro, small, and large — so there is an option to fit most prongs.

Directions for Use

Application:

Step-1: Peel NeoSeal from liner.
Step-2: Slip over nasal prongs with adhesive facing cannula.
Note: Soft, smooth side without adhesive should contact patient’s skin.
Step-3: Insert prongs per hospital protocol. Document placement of the NeoSeal in the patient’s medical record.
Note: To minimize risk of aspiration/ingestion, ensure the nasal cannula prongs and/or NeoSeal do not enter the infant’s mouth.
Step-4: Replace NeoSeal daily or per hospital protocol, whichever is sooner.
Note: Replace immediately if soiled or wet.
Step-5: Document removal and/or replacement in the patient’s medical record

INDICATIONS FOR USE

The NeoSeal is intended to create a seal around the nares and protect the skin of the septum and nares. It is intended for use on pediatric (neonates, infants and children) patients.
